Participants will experience:
The workshops and activities will beheld at the "High Tide House" (Hoogwaterhuis) in Hangklip. This is in the Western Cape, about an hour's drive from Cape Town along the False Bay Coastal Road.
Participants can stay at the house, which sleeps 10 people, and there is also an option of staying at the local guest house. For those who would like to camp, there is a campsite at Kogel Bay, which is about 10 minutes drive from our venue.
In the house, you can choose between a double room (two rooms) and a single room. The other 5 beds are in a large dormitory style bedroom, and you will need to bring a sleeping bag.
If you want to read more about the house, go to this link: www.hoogwaterhuis.com
Meals will be provided. These will be organic vegetarian where possible, with fresh Ocean fish where available.
We will arrange to transport people from Cape Town to the venue and back again, but you can also arrange your own transport if you so wish. This will be useful if you want to do independent whale watching or eat out at local restaurants. We will provide directions to the venue The cost also includes two boat trips between Hermanus and Kleinmond to experience close encounters with the whales.
GROUP SIZE: Minimum 8 people: Maximum 20 people.
COSTS: You will need to organize your own air travel to Cape Town International.
The week will cost R7000 ZAR for those who book double or single rooms.
For those who book the dormitory bed option, the cost will be R6000ZAR.
This includes transport, accommodation, meals, whale trips and workshop activities.
Those who stay at the Guest House or Camp site will pay a reduced price of R6000.
A 10% deposit is required on booking. Bookings will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
Swimming: No, not really.....The Cape coast is not ideal. The water is cold and the coast is fairly inhospitable (currents, riptides and great white sharks, to name a few of the hazards). If you are really brave, you can find swimming beaches at Hermanus and Cape Town.
Workshops: Please bring writing materials and a journal type book to keep a record of your experiences. If you have special crystals or items that you work with, please bring those too.
We will provide candles, incense and good vibes!!!
